  3. The first thing that pops up into your head when hearing “Red Dog” is probably the poker game with the fearsome bulldog mascot. Well, the name is definitely eye-catching, but apart from it, nothing else connects the Red Dog casino with the red dog game. As for the casino design itself, it is quite low-effort.

Game Play

The player left of the dealer is first to bet. A player can bet any amount up to the amount of chips in the pot. A player is betting that a card in his/her hand is of higher rank, and in the same suit, as the top card of the deck.

Once the bet is made, the dealer flips the top card from the deck. The betting player is only required to show one card that can win the bet. If the bet is won, the original bet plus an equal amount is taken out of the pot.

If the bet is lost, the bet made stays in the pot, and the player has to show all the cards in hand.

After each player has had a chance to make a bet, the deal moves to the next player to the left. Any remaining pot rolls over to the next round, plus each player makes another ante before the new round of cards are dealt.

Rules

When the pot runs out in the middle of a round, each player will make another ante.

A player can skip betting and fold by paying one chip to the pot. No cards are shown when a player folds.

How To Play Red Dog

Players can agree to skip the pre round ante if the pot being rolled over is large enough.
